enrolment

previous references and academic qualifications are the main requirements. courses will be subject to specific levels of proficiency in english. the applicants will receive notification of acceptance of their applications for admission within 15 days from the date of receipt. for master's degree* the acceptance is instead subject to the decision of an internal commission.

to access the programmes it is necessary to submit the following documents:

preparatory programmes
high school diploma or equivalent. students from the uk are required a minimum of 4 gcse passes with minimum grade c. french students are required to have a bac and italian students must have a high school diploma.

Undergraduate Programmes
high school diploma or equivalent. students from the uk are required a minimum of 5 gcse passes, one of these in english and 2-a levels, one of which in art with a minimum grade of c, french students are required to have a bac, italian students are required to have a high school diploma.

Postgraduate Programmes
university degree or equivalent. submission of recommendation letters from previous tutors or employers. candidates enrolling to creative programmes must present a portfolio. the portfolio must demonstrate skills in design, as well as creativity and technical competences (the portfolio must be composed of at least 10-12 drawings, photos or slides, supported by a brief description on the personal contribution to the development of the project). a brief autobiographical description in which one narrates the reason for applying at istituto marangoni and to the chosen master programme; in which one describes his personal interests and aspirations, any award or recognition won and all the relevant information for the selection process. one might have access to these programmes also without a university degree, if one has a proven working experience in the fashion or design field.

* students who successfully complete the programmes taught in english in london will be awarded with a master's degree by MMU (manchester metropolitan university);
